Ryan is a local lad who started playing for a few clubs in the Cheshire League before joining Barnton and then onto 1874 Northwich at the start of the 2015/16 season. He missed nearly 2 full seasons through knee injuries . He went on to play for Winsford Utd before going the Vics. After leaving Vics in September 2023 , Ryan went to Alsager Town for some time before linking up with Winsford Utd again in February 2025 . In September 2025 he signed for Barnton
