
NORTHWICH VICTORIA 150th ANNIVERSARY EVENING MARCH 29th 2025
As previously announced, Vics are holding a celebratory evening on Saturday 29th March at the Oaklands Hotel to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Club.
We are pleased to announce 2 more of our Club legends who will be attending and talking about their time and experiences at the Club in addition to Graham Abel, Jimmy Quinn and Steve Wilkes who have already been named.
MICHAEL CARR 2004-2008
Michael, a determined hard-tackling box to box midfielder is one of our more recent legends having made his debut for the Club at the end of 2004. In total he made 172 appearances and scored 26 goals during his 4 seasons at Vics, a period which saw Vics win the Conference North League title. Michael also gained 7 England C caps during his time at Vics and scored in a 2 - 0 win against the Republic of Ireland. He went on to play for Morecambe in the Football League after he left Vics in 2008.
2) EDDIE BISHOP 1984-86, 1988 and 1996 -1998
Eddie was a determined midfielder who signed for Vics from Winsford Town in 1984 spending two seasons before leaving for Altrincham in the early part of the 1986/87 season. He then went via Runcorn to Tranmere Rovers from where he had a months loan back at the Vics. During his time at Tranmere he helped them win the 1990 Leyland Daf Trophy at Wembley. After Tranmere, he spent a few seasons at Chester City before joining Vics for the 3rd time in 1996 . In total he played 137 games for Vics scoring 22 goals during the 3 spells.
