Davis, 31 years old is a former professional footballer with Clubs such as Port Vale, Leicester City & Fleetwood Town before he moved briefly into non league pre Covid as he focused on a new career in media.

However after a move back to the area we are delighted he has agreed to return to a Club he has watched as a kid with his dad Steve Davis our former manager & player in the early 2000s.

On joining “I’m pleased to be signing for Northwich Victoria and can’t wait to get started with the lads in pre-season.

Some of my earliest memories of live football were from the old Drill Field, watching my dad both play for and manage The Vics, so it’s a bit of a full circle moment.

After speaking separately to both Luke and Jack, it’s clear there’s a real sense of excitement and ambition for the season ahead. It’s easy for any club to talk about promotion in pre-season, but the quality of players coming in this summer speaks volumes. Seeing Sean Cooke sign last week, who I know really well, and hearing about some of the other names the club is close to bringing in, it’s a really exciting time to join.

I’ll be looking to bring my experience and leadership to the back line, and do my utmost to help instill the culture that I know the management team want to get the club back up the leagues, to where it belongs.

There’s always a period in a club’s history that people look back and recognize as the catalyst to climbing up the leagues - I experienced it at Luton Town when we got out of the National League after being stuck there for 5 years - and hopefully this can be one of those seasons that people talk about for years to come”

Co-Manager Luke Goddard briefly added “Myself, Ducko & Jack are delighted Joe has opted to join NVFC for 2025-26. It’s fair to say this is another top signing for the football club. In all discussions we have been majorly impressed with the will & desire to bring success back with the correct mentality. Joe will lead by example & we are very excited to get going in a few weeks time”

Joe Davis becomes the second new signing ahead of the new season along with Sean Cooke and our very own Will Lloyd who extended his contract at the end of last season.
