The Vixens staged a superb comeback after going 2 goals down in the first 15 minutes to record a stunning 5 - 2 victory over Frodsham Town Ladies. After the shock of conceding 2 quick goals to a fast counter-attacking Frodsham team , the Vixens settled down and were back level before half-time with 2 goals from Amy Glendenning, the first sliding the ball past the keeper after a strong determined run through the middle, whilst the second was a powerful shot from 14 years out which gave the keeper no chance.
The Vixens controlled the second half and took the lead in the 60th minute with a great free-kick from around 22 yards out from Emily Aldridge. Five minutes later, it was 4 -2 as player/manager ( and birthday girl ) Bex celebrated with a fine header from a corner. Then with 10 minutes left, Charlotte King completed the scoring after dancing past a couple of defenders and sliding the ball past the keeper.
