The club was established in 1946 as North Withington Amateur by attendees of St Crispin's Church in nearby Fallowfield and they joined the South Manchester & Wythenshawe League. They later joined The Manchester League, and then The Cheshire League where continued success saw then eventually reach The Northern Premier league Division 1 West after promotion from The North West Counties Leagues but they were relegated last season and transferred to the Midland League along with Runcorn Town, Cheadle Town and West Didsbury & Chorlton.
Wythenshawe Town currently lie in 10th position with just 10 points after 7 games , after being relegated from The Northern Premier league One West last season along with Sporting Khalsa and Darlaston Town. They have won 3, drawn 1 and lost 3 matches in the League so far with the wins coming against Tividale, Darlaston Town and most notably against Cheadle Town. They include in their squad 3 ex trickies, Bas Yusuff and Zeke Eme from last season, and Kobe Mc Williams from a couple of years ago.
Interesting fact : Their ground is called Ericstan Park, after founder members Eric Renard and Stan Hahn.

Vics will be looking to continue their impressive start to the season, and if the last few matches are anything to go by, you won't want to miss this one, especially after Saturday's 6 - 0 victory over Stone Old Alleynians.

DIRECTIONS :

From Northwich, follow the one way system signposted Runcorn A533 out past the Victoria Infirmary , through Winnington, turning left still on the A533 at Winnington Swing Bridge. Follow the A533 through Barnton and Little Leigh. At the Bartington traffic lights, continue straight across
for another 3.5 miles before taking the 1st exit at the roundabout still on the A533. Follow the road round for 0.4 miles and take the 2nd exit onto Murdishaw Avenue. The entrance to the ground is situated on the right immediately after the Queen of Hearts Pub.
