Romulus have finished 13th in the Midland League ( out of 18 ) for the last two seasons so will be looking to press on this season and get into the top half. They are based in the Castle Vale area of Birmingham and were only formed in 1979 when they started playing Sunday League football. They eventually started playing senior football in 1999 and entered the Midland Football Combination. Two promotions followed in 2003/4 and again in 2006/7 but were relegated into the Midland League Premier in 2018.
Romulus have had a fair pre-season having wins against Redditch Borough, and AFC Bridgnorth , and 2 - 2 draws against Coventry Sphinx and then Sutton Coldfield Town.
Vics will be looking to get off to another flying start, and it will be interesting to see which of the squad get into the first 11 after a pre-season where performance in general was better than the results.

DIRECTIONS :

From Northwich, follow the one way system signposted Runcorn A533 out past the Victoria Infirmary , through Winnington, turning left still on the A533 at Winnington Swing Bridge. Follow the A533 through Barnton and Little Leigh. At the Bartington traffic lights, continue straight across
for another 3.5 miles before taking the 1st exit at the roundabout still on the A533. Follow the road round for 0.4 miles and take the 2nd exit onto Murdishaw Avenue. The entrance to the ground is situated on the right immediately after the Queen of Hearts Pub.
