AFC WOLVERHAMPTON CITY are the visitors to The Apec Taxis Stadium on Saturday, a new name for an old Club. As AFC Wulfrunians, they finished 14th in the League last season, just 3 points behind the Vics thanks to a last day 2 - 1 victory for us in the corresponding fixture in 2025.
They are based in Wolverhampton and changed their name from The Old Wulfrunians when they joined The West Midlands Regional League in 2005 to AFC Wulfruniuans. A couple of promotions followed , and in 2014 they were one of the founder members of the Midland Football League. They changed their name fro AFC Wolverhampton City for the start of this season and they currently lie a creditable 6th so far mainly thanks to only conceding 19 goals in their 19 league matches so far.
Vics' management team have almost everyone back and available for selection including a couple of new additions! Djabi (Mama) is due back next week after a period away over the last few weeks which will be a big boost to the squad.

DIRECTIONS :

From Northwich, follow the one way system signposted Runcorn A533 out past the Victoria Infirmary , through Winnington, turning left still on the A533 at Winnington Swing Bridge. Follow the A533 through Barnton and Little Leigh. At the Bartington traffic lights, continue straight across
for another 3.5 miles before taking the 1st exit at the roundabout still on the A533. Follow the road round for 0.4 miles and take the 2nd exit onto Murdishaw Avenue. The entrance to the ground is situated on the right immediately after the Queen of Hearts Pub. .
