Vics returned to the top of the Midland League with a dominant and convincing win against Studley with winger Jefferson Abreu grabbing his second consecutive League hat-trick.
Vics were simply unstoppable in the first half as they scored 4 goals without reply. Indeed it could have been more as they threatened from the start before Abreu headed his first from a Leo Tanswell corner in the 17th minute. 3 minutes before that, Abreu had been denied by a superb save by Studley keeper Cian Quinn after he had headed downwards to the bottom corner from an excellent Crane cross.
It was quickly 2 nil to the Vics as AJ Kandeke beat 3 men down the right, cut in and laid the ball back for Will Lloyd to strike an absolute thunderblaster into the top corner of the net from 25 yards out for his first goal of the season. Vics kept pressing and ten minutes later it was three for them as Matt Clarke played a precise through ball for Abreu to collect and finish with ease one on one. Ben Crane then forced Quinn into another decent save as Vics carved through the Studley defence again and it was no surprise when they scored a fourth goal. This time it was slightly fortunate as a Matty Clarke off target shot went straight to Kieron Hamm who steered the ball into the net 2 minutes before half-time.

HALF-TIME : Northwich Vics 4 Studley 0

The second half was a bit of a comedown after the first with Vics never really getting out of second gear. Even then they created chances and threatened the Studley defence. Crane narrowly fired wide from a free-kick after 53 minutes before Studley had their first real efforts on goal. Firstly Matt Harrison did well to block one Studley shot before Mendes in the Vics net made himself big to deny them from close range. Great Save. Vics soon grabbed their fifth goal though
to stifle any Studley hopes of a miracle and it was that man Abreu again. This time he raced down the left, beat his man and finished with accuracy into the bottom far corner. It was then cruise control from the Vics as the match slowly drew to its close.

FULL-TIME : Northwich Vics 5 Studley 0

A Five star performance from the Vics, especially in the first half to take them back to the top of the table.
