BOOTLE FC v NORTHWICH VICTORIA ( at Marine's FC Ground)

Following Sunday's pulsating match between the two teams, Vics are playing the replay on Wednesday 26th with the winners earning the right to face Atherton Collieries in the next round.
Bootle are in the Northern Premier League West, one level above Vics and they ve had a great start to this season. They top the table at this early stage of the season with a 100% record of three wins out of three. These have been victories over Witton Albion and Newcastle Town , both by 4 goals to two , whilst the other victory was over our Landlords Runcorn Linnets where they won 2-0. Af ter Sunday's game Striker Ben Hodkinson has now scored 6 goals in 4 games whilst Bootle have scored 14 !
Let's hope this match is as entertaining as the first one so let s get down to The Marine Travel Arena and cheer the lads on.

There is no parking( club officials only) at the ground but parking is available on the surrounding streets. There is the 1894 Bar & Bistro outside the ground along with a tea bar inside the ground selling both hot and cold foods.

Take the A533 out of Northwich through Barnton SP Runcorn and continue along the A533 towards Runcorn Linnets but take the Southern Expressway its exit at the Murdishaw Roundabout. Keeping right, go over the Mersey Gateway Bridge ( don't forget to pay the toll online) then take the A5300 exit at the Newstead Farm Interchange, take the 3rd exit onto Knowsley Expy/A5300 and eventually join M57 . At the end of the M57 take the A5758 (signposted Southport & Formby), remain on this road through Switch Island and go straight across the traffic lights at the junction with the B5422, remaining on A5758. At roundabout, turn left on A565 (signposted Liverpool, Bootle & Crosby). Remain on this road through Thornton, straight on at 3 sets of traffic lights and at the roundabout remain on the A565, signposted Bootle & Liverpool. At the traffic lights in Crosby village, turn left onto the A565 (signposted Bootle & Liverpool). After ½ mile you will pass Merchant Taylors school on your right hand-side, turn right at the traffic lights onto College Road. The ground is half a mile on your left.
