Saturday sees Vics' final pre-season friendly prior to the start of the League season next weekend. as they take on our friends Witton Albion at The U Lock It Stadium. As previously, this annual friendly will compete for the Vijay Anthill Memorial Shield.
Witton of course are in the Northern Premier League West Division, and they started their pre-season campaign with a narrow 3-2 defeat against Crewe Alex, then lost 1-0 against Winsford Utd. They then beat Runcorn Town 5-2 before losing 1-0 to Airbus Uk.
Vics will be hoping to continue their recent goalscoring record , having scored 3 in their last two matches whilst improving their defensive record before they take on Romulus next Saturday 1st August in the first Midland league match of the season.
