After Saturday's disappointing defeat at Droylsden in the FA Vase, it's another cup competition on Tuesday evening as Vics travel in the relatively short distance to visit Stone Old Alleynians in The Midland League Cup
Stone Old Alleynians FC was founded in 1962 by Dave Bonnet, a teacher at, and a former pupil of Alleyns Grammar School in Stone. The Club started in division 4 of the Stafford Amateur League, gaining promotion to division 3 in their second season. The following season saw them promoted again, and further promotion followed as they finished Champions of Division 2. The 1970/71 season saw the Club win the top League for the first time, to be followed by winning it again a further 3 times. The 2019/20 season saw the Club make their debut in the FA Cup and in 2021 they were promoted to the Premier Division of The Midland League based on their results in the abandoned 2019/20 and 20/21 seasons.
They currently lie in 16th position in the League with just 10 points after 15 games , after finishing last season in a creditable 9th place. They started the season well with a home win against Studley, but have only won once more since then which includes a narrow one nil defeat against the Vics in early September.

DIRECTIONS :
Leave the A500 and take the A34 (Newcastle Road) towards Newcastle. Stay on the A34 until you come to the traffic lights after Tesco and turn left onto Clayton Lane. Continue ton Clayton Lane and take the 3rd right turn onto Lilleshall Road, at the end of the road take the right turn and enter the entrance to the ground.
