Northwich Vics are back in cup action this Saturday , when they start their FA Vase campaign against Wythenshawe Town at Wincham Park. Vics were exempt from this competition until this stage after reaching the Semi-Finals of the competition last season . Wythenshawe started their campaign back at the end of August when they beat Goole Town 5 - 2 in the 1st Qualifying Round. and followed this up with impressive away wins at Skelmersdale Utd and then Nostell Miners Welfare. They currently lie 7th in the 1st Division South but have been on a great run of form lately, winning 5 out of their last 6 matches. They include in their squad, former Vics favourite Michael Clarke as well as current top scorer Stuart Wellstead who had a brief spell at Vics as well. Previous top scorer Aaaron Dwyer , who had scored 13 goals in just 10 games, has just recently left the club to play for Buxton ..

Plenty of free parking is available at the ground, and the gates will open 2.00. Hot food ( Pies, Pasties, Chips , Hot Dogs) along with hot drinks and other refreshments all available in the tea hut on the far side of the ground whilst Witton's bar will be open from 1.00pm. Please note that there is no entry to the bar once in the ground BEFORE the match . Entry to the ground is by the turnstiles at the car park end.
