As previously announced, Vics are holding a celebratory evening on Saturday 29th March at the Oaklands Hotel to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Club.
We are pleased to announce 3 more of our Club legends who will be attending and talking about their time and experiences at the Club. Already confirmed are Graham Abel, Jimmy Quinn, Steve Wilkes, Michael Carr and Eddie Bishop

DEAN GREYGOOSE : GOALKEEPER 1993 - 1999

Dean played 250 appearances for the Vics and was a member of the 1996 team that reached Wembley in the FA Trophy unfortunately losing 3 - 1 to Macclesfield Town. Before joining Vics in 1993, Dean had played over 200 matches for Crewe Alexandra and helped them get promotion in 1989.
Dean left Vics in 1999 but played on for another 10 seasons mainly for AFC Sudbury and Bury Town before retiring from playing in 2009 and going into Management. He has managed several clubs in the East Anglia/Cambridgeshire region including Mildenhall Town and Godmanchester Rovers.

SAMMY McILROY PLAYER/MANAGER 1991 - 1993

Before hitting the heights of being Manager of Northwich Victoria, Sammy had enjoyed a successful career at lesser clubs , most notably Manchester United whom he joined in November 1971 making 342 appearances for them and scoring 57 times as well as being capped by his native Northern Ireland 88 times which included appearances at 2 World Cups.
After retiring , Sammy became Manager at Vics at the start of the 1991/92 season and was in charge for 71 matches over the 18 months of his reign. He also played 8 times for the Club in that time. After leaving Vics, he continued management, most notably at Macclesfield Town winning the FA Trophy there and then managed the national team of Northern Ireland for nearly 3 years.

MARK JONES : DEFENDER 1987 - 1996

Mark was a mainstay of the Vics defence for 9 seasons making 429 appearances for the Club. He remarkably hadn't scored for Vics until his 424th match when he scored a screamer against Halifax to earn Vics a point.
Mark started his career at Everton and had spells at Preston North End and then Southport before joining the Vics
