Northwich Victoria are absolutely delighted to announce the Steve Walters
has accepted an offer to become an Ambassador for the Club. Steve, of course, is a Vics’ legend, having played 177 times for the Club during 1995 to 2000. He is also, one of the founders of The Offside Trust, a charity set up to combat child abuse in sport, and to support the healing journey of survivors, of which he is one.
Northwich Victoria are proud of their close links to The Offside Trust
and have their logo proudly displayed on their kit , and we hope that this role of being an Ambassador for the Club will enable Steve , not only to spread the word about Northwich Victoria, but also to help him in his vital work for The Offside Trust . In his role as Ambassador, Steve will be working closely with Paul Lambert who is our new CBS Membership Secretary in helping raise the membership of the Club.
Steve says :
“The Club has a special place in my heart, having spent 5 memorable years there, and it’s been heart-breaking to see what has happened to the Club prior to the fan’s takeover 2 years ago. Having been at the AGM , and at previous events, it is obvious that the current board in conjunction with the fans, have the passion and the drive to get this Club back where to where it belongs, and anything I can do to help that process, I will do to the best of my ability. Also the Club and its’ supporters have been fantastic in the promoting of, and raising funds for The Offside Trust, and I cant thanks the fans enough for all their help in this.
Up The Vics “
