Saturday sees not only Vics' last match of the season , but of course Steve Wilkes' last match as Manager, when the Trickies travel up to Burscough. Burscough unfortunately were confirmed as relegated last weekend when they lost up at Kendal Town 3 - 1. This was despite a valiant attempt to stay up by winning their previous 3 matches which included a brilliant 3 - 0 away at BuryAFC. They do possess one of the League's top scorers in Edward Servuts who has scored 25 goals in 35 starts but he was sent off during the Kendal match so may well be banned.
Vics will be looking to give Steve Wilkes , who announced his intention to resign as manager after the match earlier this week, a suitable last match as they look to build on and improve a 5 match winning sequence.
Lets all get up to Burscough and give Steve the reception he deserves for all the dedication , hard work and all the effort in rebuilding Northwich Vics from their lowest level into the much more formidable force they are today, giving us some great memories along the way

DIRECTIONS :

M6 to J27 and take the A6209 Sp Parbold for approx 11 miles before turning right onto Back Lane. Continue onto Hollowford Lane, Carr Lane and then School Lane. At the roundabout , take 2nd exit on to A59 before quickly reaching Tesco s where you can park.

There is no bar at the ground, but The Bridge Inn is a short walk way, and where the post match proceedings are. There is a cafe serving hot food at the ground , just inside from the turnstiles.
