Vics appoint Ryan Smith

Northwich Victoria FC are delighted to announce the appointment of Ryan Smith as our new Reserves Team Manager ahead of the side’s debut season in the Cheshire Football League.

Ryan is a UEFA B Licensed coach with a wealth of experience, most recently managing Ashton United U21s. He brings a modern approach to coaching, a proven track record of developing young talent, and a deep understanding of the game at this level. Ryan will be supported by the experienced Mike Wain, who continues his fantastic work with the squad, and Adam, who is beginning his coaching journey with the club.

With Ryan now at the helm, the Reserves are in an excellent position as we look to build a strong foundation in our first season in the Cheshire Football League.

?️ Ryan Smith shared his excitement:
“I’m proud to be joining Northwich Victoria FC as Reserves Team Manager. It’s a club with a great history, and having known Chairman Ian Egerton for a few years now, I know how passionate he is about the club’s future. Getting the chance to work alongside him was a huge factor in my decision.

I’d like to thank everyone for the warm welcome and I’m excited to get started.”

?️ Chairman Ian Egerton added:
“I am delighted to officially welcome Ryan Smith to Northwich Victoria as our new Reserves Team Manager. I have known Ryan for a number of years as a very talented opposition manager with Ashton United and he has always been a coach I’ve admired.

I feel honoured that Ryan has accepted the role to guide our lads through this next stage of their development. Over the years, I’ve come to know Ryan not only as a top coach but as a phenomenal human being. I can't tell you how exciting it is to have him on board.

Mike Wain will remain a key part of the coaching team. He has done a fantastic job over recent years and his experience will be invaluable as we move forward. I’d also like to welcome Adam as he begins his coaching journey.

I wish Ryan, Mike, and Adam all the luck in the world for the upcoming season, and I’m truly grateful to have such a dedicated and passionate coaching team leading our Reserves side.”

As the Reserves prepare for their inaugural campaign in the Cheshire Football League, the club is excited for what lies ahead with a strong coaching unit in place and a renewed sense of ambition.

Welcome to the Vics, Ryan!
