Northwich Victoria are delighted to announce that Steve Pickup has been appointed as the new first team Manager of the Club.
Steve, who has been the Assistant Manager at the Club for the last 5 years under Steve Wilkes has a wealth of football experience and takes over the reins for the next chapter of the Club. Steve's football playing career includes Clubs such as Burnley, Bolton Wanderers, Everton, Accrington Stanley, Padiham and Colne, before moving into management roles, namely First Team Manager at Colne and then Assistant Manager at Padiham before taking the same position at Vics.
Steve was the overwhelming fans' favourite to take over the role and we are delighted to have reached agreement with Steve to take us forward as our new Manager. Steve has moved quickly to bring in a new Management team with him, and we are also delighted to welcome former Prestwich Heys Manager Matt Barnes as the new Assistant Manager whilst Pete Boyle joins as the new First Team Coach. Pete is Head Coach of Football Development at Rochdale AFC and a former Coach at Prestwich Heys.
We are also delighted that current Physio Kristina Lees has agreed to stay on at the Club.
We would all like to wish Steve and his team all the very best in their new roles at the Club and we are extremely excited to be working with you all.
