Northwich Victoria are absolutely delighted to announce that powerhouse striker Mama Djabi has officially signed on the dotted line to remain with the Trickies for the upcoming season!

Djabi was in sparkling form at the spearhead of the Vics attack last season, terrorising defences and finding the back of the net at will before a cruel, nasty injury unfortunately cut his campaign short.

Having fully recovered and turned down heavy interest from elsewhere to stay at the club, the fan-favourite forward is ready to pick up exactly where he left off.

"Where He Belongs"
Manager Lee Duckworth couldn't hide his delight at securing Djabi’s signature for the new campaign, noting just how vital the striker is to his tactical plans:

"Mama has an excellent scoring record for the club and last season may well have turned out much differently for us had he not got injured.

He’s a strong, powerful forward who knows exactly where the net is and has turned down other clubs who tried their best to tempt him this summer. Glad to have him with us where he belongs."

"Only One Place I Wanted To Be"
For Mama himself, the decision to stay put at the club despite outside interest was an easy one. With his eyes firmly set on silverware, Djabi added:

"Happy to be back. Looking forward to scoring some goals and going one step further this season by getting promoted. Only one place I wanted to be."
