HARVEY WHYTE RETURNS HOME TO THE VICS!
Northwich Victoria are absolutely delighted to announce the return of a true local lad, as midfielder Harvey Whyte has officially signed on for the upcoming season.
This marks Whyte’s third spell with the Trickies. Vics fans will fondly remember his first stint under Steve Wilkes, where he was a crucial part of the unforgettable 2019 FA Vase Semi-Final run. Following successful spells with Warrington Rylands and Wythenshawe Town, Harvey returned to Northwich in 2022 before moving on to Ramsbottom United.
During his time at Ramsbottom, he reunited with Wilkes, making 106 appearances and scoring an impressive 29 goals—narrowly missing out on promotion just this past season. Now, the industrious local midfielder is back where it all started, ready to drive his hometown club forward.
"Industrious And Creative"
Manager Lee Duckworth was quick to praise the signing, noting that Whyte brings the perfect blend of quality, work ethic, and local pride to the squad.
"Harvey is a player I’ve admired for a long time," Duckworth said. "He has a wealth of quality to go with the hard work he puts in.
Industrious and creative, he will be a huge player for us this season and I’m delighted to get him secured so early. I’m sure it’s one the supporters will enjoy."
"Back Where It All Started"
After speaking with Chairman Ian Egerton, Harvey made it clear that returning to the Green and White Army was an incredibly easy choice to make.
"When Lee called me and asked me if I would be interested in signing next season, it was a no-brainer for me," Whyte revealed. "I’m looking forward to meeting up with the lads and seeing the fans again.
I’m really excited to be back where it all started, and hopefully we can go that one step further this year and get promotion."
