Northwich Victoria are excited to announce the signing of defender HARRY DAVIS who has put pen to paper on a one year deal for 2025/26.
Davis, 33 years old joins from AFC Fylde where he was Club captain in the National League Conference, before a three year stint at the Coasters he has represented Clubs such as Scunthorpe, Grimsby and Morecambe. However most will recognise his time with Crewe Alex where he made 187 appearances over a 8 year period after progressing through their academy, proudly becoming Club captain in 2015.
It’s an obvious statement signing for our football club but for Harry a fitting next move as he enters part time football whilst working alongside his coaching career and a full circle moment to represent Northwich Victoria Football Club, where his dad Steve Davis both played and managed. With brother Joe a recent addition it’s an exciting chapter for the pair and all at the Trickies.
Davis on signing “ I’m delighted to sign for Northwich Victoria for the coming season and really looking forward to getting started. I see it as a really exciting challenge to start the journey of hopefully bringing success back to this football club.
Trust in football is a big thing and I trust both Luke whom I’ve got to know over recent years and Jack who’s been a close friend of mine for over 20 years so I’m excited to be working with them both, alongside Lee. We all share the same values and that’s something that I wanted to be a part of”
Assistant manager Jack Turner added “I’m excited to welcome Harry to Northwich Victoria. I’ve known him for over 20 years, and as soon as we found out he was available, we did everything we could to bring him in. He understands the size of this club and what it represents. Harry isn’t just a great defender – he’s a leader on and off the pitch, and exactly the sort of character we want here at Vics. I’m confident he’ll have a massive impact for us in the upcoming season.”
