Steve has spoken to our Media Manager Jamie Dewsbury

Jamie : "Welcome to the Vics’, Steve. How does it feel to sign on for the famous Northwich Victoria? "
Steve "Thanks Jamie
I know how big a name in non- league football Northwich Victoria is, and watching from afar last season, I was impressed with the progress the club made.
I had a couple of offers higher up and in this league as well; but after meeting the manager Steve Wilkes and Scott Campbell and listening to what they had to say, I knew this was the club for me.
I can’t wait to pull on that famous Northwich Vics’ shirt and show the fans what I can do."

Jamie: " It’ll be a tough challenge getting into this team; especially with the hot competition for places and your current recovery from injury - "

Steve : "Yes it will for sure - but i can’t wait to get a chance to play in this team; I really can’t.
I have been out a while with a Medial collateral ligament tear so i am doing lots and lots of work behind the scenes to catch up and to prove my worth.
I want to help this Club and lads achieve their goals.

Manager Steve Wilkes on Steve’s arrival -

"I am absolutely delighted to have Steve on board. He had the choice of clubs higher up the league, who offered him a lot more money and also clubs in our league; but he wanted to play for Northwich Victoria more than anything.
His experience will be fantastic for me. He’s a proven goal scorer and with the forwards we already have at the club; Steve will add his physical presence, which we lacked at stages last season.
I’m over the moon with the signing. First team coach Scott Campbell must take some of the credit as he got in touch with Steve whilst I was on holiday and set the ball rolling. All we need now is international clearance and he’ll be ready. The fans will absolutely love him and he’ll love them."
