A rather scrappy first half where Bewdley very nearly took the lead after just 7 minutes as the striker was set through, and lobbed Vics' keeper Adam Reid as he came out but the ball went just over the bar. A warning to Vics that Bewdley may be down but they were still battling. Vics responded with their first positive attack a couple of minutes later as Eli Fisher drove into the box and got a shot away which was blocked and the ball bounced around the area without any Vics player being able to get a meaningful touch on it. The game was then fairly uneventful until Vics slowly began to take control of the match. Cookson had a header well wide, then Sam Unwin danced his way through the Bewdley defence but dragged his shot inches wide of the left post. Vics eventually took the lead in the 33rd minute as the irrepressible Unwin cut in from the left and curled a shot past the keeper into the net. Vics were now well on top but chances went begging. Perry shot wide from a corner, Unwin shot over after a good run and Anton Smith's low shot after good work from Unwin, was well saved as Bewdley survived until the break without further punishment.
Half-time : Bewdley Town 0 Northwich Vics 1
The second half was virtually all Vics. Sam Unwin was denied a second goal after 51 minute by the liner's flag though it looked suspiciously onside to most and the same player then stabbed a shot straight at the keeper after a quick break by the Vics. The second goal came after 59 minutes as Unwin broke down the left, played it to perry whose shot was shot but fell to Dylan Switters who slid the ball home for his first contribution since coming on as a substitute a minute earlier. Vics extended the lead in the 70th minute as a free kick from the edge of the box found Will Lloyd and he stroked the ball into the net for Vics' third goal. It was all too easy for Vics now, but they wasted chance after chance to extend their lead further and Vics had to settle for a comfortable 3 goal win.
Full-Time : Bewdley Town 0 Northwich Vics 3
An easy win for the Vics who never really got out of second gear to extend their winning run to 5 matches , a great response to all the critics after the Congleton match a few weeks ago.
