Jamie :
"Welcome to the Vics', Rob. Looking forward to the challenge? "

Rob
"Yes thanks Jamie - as soon as I spoke to both Steve's this week it was obvious what they are building here at Vics' and it's exciting to come on board and be a part of it. Everyone I have spoke to before making the decision had nothing but positive things to say about them as people and managers.

People might thinkt the fact really close mates of mine in Brad Cooke and Danny Taberner have recently joined and Scott Campbell as coach but that isn't a factor for me it's all about ambition and targets and being at a club that wants to achieve and progress as that's important for me and in my opinion important for a side at any level. I've also spoken to another close mate in Iain Howard who played here and he couldn't speak highly enough of the club and fans. It's all happened quite quickly but i'm really looking forward to starting the hard work as to achieve promotion it's going to take a lot of that.

My ambitions are as the manager has outlined in a good run in the cups and promotion. I was lucky enough to be a part of both with Atherton Collieries a couple of years ago and it makes me even more determined to experience that again. That season the Keeper' I worked with won the NWCFL Prem GK of the Year award which is something I want our Keeper to repeat this year as that will give us a great chance if we are solid defensively. I believe with the coaching team and squad being put together we have a great chance this season."

Previous clubs -
Eagley, Atherton LR, Atherton Collieries, AFC Darwen, Ramsbottom United.

Head coach for strikerz football academy.

Whilst at Eagley as assistant manager, Scott won the Lancashire Shield, League Cup, the Bolton Hospital Cup, Wilf Carr Memorial Trophy all in the same season. He then moved to Atherton LR for a short spell under Michael Clegg. The management team moved to local rivals Atherton Collieries and had great success breaking league records, they won the NWCFL div 1 and the Bolton Hospital Cup they we're also beaten finalists in the league and divisional cup to Glossop NE who won the premier division that year and AFC Darwen, who half-way through the following season Scott joined as assistant manager but only after a few matches inherited the managerial role. Scott managed to keep AFC Darwen in the premier division on the final day. Scott then joined Ramsbottom United in the EvoStik north division as first team coach and had 2 seasons with the club before resigning in June.

Jamie :
"Welcome to the Greens', Scott. A fresh challenge and replacing Andy Payton."

Scott :
"Thankyou Jamie - Once I had announced my resignation from Ramsbottom, Steve was the first one on the phone to see what my plans were, I had quite a bit of interest but Steve was persistent and once he told me his plans and the club's ambition there was only one place I was going to sign. I've been involved in a few training sessions now and been massively impressed with how Steve Wilkes and Steve Pickup run the team and more importantly how good the squad is they have built over the close season.

Vics' boss Steve Wilkes on Rob's & Scott's additions to the coaching staff -

"I think it's so important that my coaching staff have the same ambition and drive, and in Rob and Scott I know I've secured a goalkeeper coach and coach that has those qualities. They were both part of the successful Atherton Colleries side that won the League a couple of seasons ago. When I knew Scott was available I rang him and invited him down to pre-season. After talking and watching him in a couple of sessions I knew he'd be perfect to work with. Rob Sadler also come with a very good pedigree. His time at Colls' was a successful one and recently at Ramsbottom he'd worked with some decent keepers. Again it's so important to have a good keeper coach and in Rob we now have that. He's also great around the dressing room which is also so important.
