After a disappointing 5-3 defeat against Burscough on Tuesday night in the League, Vics have a quick chance to get revenge as they again travel up to Burscough on Saturday 25th August, but this time with the added incentive of a place in the First Round Qualifying of the Emirates FA Cup at stake.
In the previous round, Burscough defeated 1874 Northwich in a replay which went to extra time and penalties, whilst Vics won through against Widnes also after a replay, when John Connolly scored the winner in the first period of extra time.
