FULL PROFILE

Name : Bradley Cooke Age : 32

Previous Clubs : Ashton United, Salford City, Atherton LR, Ramsbottom Utd, Ashton Athletic and Atherton Collieries

Position : Central Midfield - right footed

Vics' boss Steve Wilkes' view on the impressive capture of Cooke

"I've been chasing Brad for nearly a month now and to finally get him over the line is another statement that we want to try and get Northwich Victoria back amongst the leading clubs in the league. With captain John Bennett going to be out of most, if not all of the season due to a serious knee injury, it was important that I brought in a leader to replace him. Brad will become captain of the Club and be my leader on the pitch, something we missed at times last season. I've worked with Brad before at Ashton Athletic and know what he'll bring to Northwich. The fans will love his all-action style of play and his winning mentality that saw him life the league title a couple of seasons ago at Atherton Collieries. I'm so pleased to have him on board. Hopefully he's not the last one to come into the club."

Brad's Interview with Jamie Dewsbury :
Jamie :
" Welcome to the Vics, Brad. A big wrench to be leaving Colls, but a big challenge again here at the Green & Whites', with a big push at getting into that all important promotion spot next season"

Brad :
" Thanks Jamie, I am delightedto be signing for a club with a history like Northwich Victoria. I have been Steve's ( Wilkes) captain before at Ashton Athletic so I know how he works and how good a manager he is. I spoke to my close friend Iain Howard who spoke very highly of the people involved at Northwich, and yourself and Dave (Thomas) . I look forward to meeting the lads, the two Steves' are putting together a side that will challenge and I can't wait to get started ! I had the opportunity to sign for a number of clubs but after listening to the plans that are in place I knew this was the right Club for me"
