Following several fund raising activities undertaken by supporters of Northwich Victoria, we were delighted to present a cheque for £900 to The Offside Trust at our match versus Cammell Laird on Saturday.
Presenting the cheque on Vics' behalf was the legendary Vics' FA Trophy winning captain, Kenny Jones. Kenny played over 900 games for the Greens in the 70s and 80s , highlighted by lifting the FA Trophy 35 years ago after a 3-2 replay win versus Bangor City. Accepting the cheque on the Offside Trust's behalf was another Vics' legend,Steve Walters who made 177 appearances for the Vics back in the late 90s and who is one of the founders of The Offside Trust
Vics are proud of our link to The Offside Trust and to help in the on-going battle to help safeguard children in sport, and to aid survivors of abuse. Vics' commercial manager Paul Bazley said "With having a large , well established Junior section , we were proud to be involved with this from the outset, and to wear the Trust's Logo on our shirts. Our brilliant fans have really taken this amazing cause to their hearts, raising money in excess of £1000 in the last 12 months through bucket collections, sponsored walks, sweet and cake sales , a charity football match and of course the recent walk up Snowdon, a monumental effort in atrocious conditions

I thank everyone one who has contributed to this great cause. We as a Club are so proud of our loyal fans, and of the amazing and vital work the Trust is doing, and we will continue to raise funds and awareness whenever possible. "
